My Federal "OneDrive Cannot Sync" Error

If you run into one of these two errors shown below, it's a difficult bug that came with one of Microsoft's / Window's updates causing the JFED OneDrive tenant to  disconnect itself.

*This error will be persistent and will happen about ever 24hrs as we've seen so far*

**For a band aid fix. Follow the steps below for the solution**

***The best solution we have at the moment is a fresh image on your computer***

1: Search "Registry Editor" and RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATOR <<<<VERY IMPORTANT or it will not work.

2: You will get a pop up for IT Security Policy.

  • In the reason put, "IT Assistance"
  • Put in your CMS password
  • Registry Editor will appear

3: Under the dropdowns, "File" "Edit" etc. You will see a path starting with "Computer"

  • Insert this path in that bar.
    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive

4: Open up the OneDrive folder. You will see a sub-folder called "Allow Tenet List"

5: Delete that folder. Acknowledge if prompted to.

6: Restart your computer.

7: Log back into your JFED OneDrive.
